Validity of the Digital Signature has expired

When a user trying to register Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) on Income Tax e-filing Website, the error displayed "Validity of the Digital Signature has expired. Please update a valid Digital Signature Certificate" or as shown in following image:

Solution:
1. Check the validity of Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).
OR
2. The Internet Explorer has also the expired Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) in its directory apart from new Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). Therefore you are requested to remove the expired Digital Signature Certificate.
